ABOUT

Madison is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer originally from Round Lake, Illinois. She began her dance training in 2007 in the northern suburbs of Chicago, with a strong foundation in classical ballet that continues to inform her movement practice today.

In 2016, under the mentorship of Braeden Barnes, Madison began her journey into contemporary dance which opened up a new vocabulary of movement she quickly fell in love with.

Madison now holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. While at the Conservatory, she studied a wide range of techniques and had the honor of performing works by Victor Quijada, Daniel Pelzig, Laila Franklin, Dan Wagoner, Andrea Miller, and Catherine Coury.

Beyond her academic training, Madison has continued to expand her artistry through intensives with Complexions Ballet, Sidra Bell, NVA + Guest, Eisenhower Dance Detroit, Visceral, Salt Contemporary Dance, and Symbiosis Arts.

She also worked with Blue Man Group during her time in Boston, an experience that further enriched her love of performance.

Now, a freelance dancer based in Chicago, she is currently working with Bodies of Water and Dance Colony Artist. She also holds community create sessions to further immerse herself in Chicagos vibrant dance scene.

Madison’s diverse experiences as a performer and creator have shaped her deeply intentional approach to both teaching and choreography.

Teaching since the age of 16, she is passionate about cultivating supportive, challenging, and inclusive environments for dancers of all ages and levels. Her teaching emphasizes entering the studio with openness, curiosity, and a suspension of judgment — blending somatic awareness with technical clarity.

As a choreographer, Madison is drawn to both real human experiences and abstract concepts, using movement as a tool for expression, exploration, and community-building.

Whether performing, teaching, or creating, she brings curiosity, care, and collaboration into every space she enters.
